...to improve his own mental health and then teach everyone about what he had learned. Most of these learnings have come through some crazy and interesting situations!

Jimi changed lives in there today...

Andy Routley - Managing Director DB Breweries

When you hire Jimi Hunt for a keynote speech or presentation you get a man that passionately cares about the health and well-being of every single person in your organisation, including you.

When you care about your people (the most important asset in any company), when you make them happier and healthier, you get a more successful company.

Here’s the fact repeated from the front page, PwC conducted a study that shows that every dollar spent on the mental health of your employees returns $2.31 in revenue. It’s a fact that happy, healthy people make better employees, better employees make a better company. So let’s work together to make that a reality for you.

Nobody wants to be forced to go to a ‘mental health lecture’…including Jimi! So the question is, how do we motivate and inspire your employees to want to change and improve themselves?

That’s exactly what Jimi’s presentations do. Jimi inspires personal change through the relatability of his personal story and crazy adventures, his openness and by giving the audience practical advice and tools to improve themselves.

Jimi will have your audience laughing and crying, he will have them looking inward at themselves as well as outwards at their place in the world and when he is finished, they will be coming up to thank you for hiring him.

You may know Jimi Hunt from such adventures as Lilo The Waikato (where he swam an $8 pool float 425km down New Zealand’s longest river to raise awareness for depression) or, you may know him for building the World’s Biggest Waterslide (Guinness World Record 601.37 metres or 1973ft long). Through these activities, Jimi’s main goal is to inspire and help people improve their own mental health. He started a registered New Zealand charity called Live More Awesome to make that mission a reality…

Unfortunately, poor mental health is becoming an increasing problem around the world. The World Health Organization estimates that by the year 2025 over 80% of people on the planet will suffer from a mental health condition in their lifetime. Jimi is determined to help stop that becoming reality.

For his efforts, some people have even awarded him some things:

  • Guinness World Record for the World’s Longest Waterslide
  • Finalist for the 2014 New Zealander of the Year
  • Finalist for the 2014 New Zealand Innovator of the Year
  • Opening speaker TEDxAuckland 2013
  • 2014 Hubbards “Amazing Hero” grant recipient
  • Inaugural recipient of the “Kevin Roberts Entrepreneurship &
    Innovation Scholarship” at Waikato University

But what Jimi loves most is talking to people. Lives get changed with human contact so Jimi tries to talk to as many people as possible, whether it is at high-schools or multi-national companies, mental health doesn’t discriminate, we all have it and we could all do with making it a whole lot better!
